The Railway Board has taken a big decision to reduce the crowd at New Delhi Railway Station. A total of six pairs of trains have been shifted to another station. Let's know about it.
Indian Railways has taken an important decision with the aim of reducing the crowd and increasing the operational capacity. Six pairs of trains leaving from New Delhi Railway Station will now have to stop there. About 5 lakh passengers travel from New Delhi Railway Station every day. About 350 trains come and go from this railway station with 16 platforms every day. Due to this, the Railways has decided to send some trains to other stations to reduce the crowd from here, let's know which trains are included in this.
Which trains are outside New Delhi
The order related to this was issued on June 12. In this, six trains including Purushottam Express, Saharsa Garib Rath, Mumbai Duronto Express, New Jalpaiguri Express have been shown the way to Bah. According to the circular of the board, Purushottam Express will now stop at Anand Vihar Terminal instead of New Delhi. Earlier this train used to reach New Delhi at 4:00 am which will now reach Anand Vihar at 3:50 am. The Superfast Express (12523/12524) running between New Delhi and New Jalpaiguri will now run from Anand Vihar Terminal and will stop here.
New Delhi-Jalandhar City Express (14681/14682) and New Delhi-Amritsar Express (14679/14680) have been shifted from New Delhi to Delhi Railway Station. Saharsa-Amritsar Garib Rath Express (12203/12204) will now run from Delhi Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal. According to the old timetable, the train from Amritsar will reach Delhi Junction at 10:50 am and will leave at 11:05 am. New Delhi-Mumbai Central Duronto Express (22209/22210) will be departed from Hazrat Nizamuddin. Apart from these, according to officials, many other trains can also be run from Hazrat Nizamuddin or Delhi Sarai Rohilla.
When will this rule be implemented
There is no official confirmation yet about when this rule will be implemented. It has only been indicated that it can be implemented according to a convenient date. Railways clarified that this change will be applicable to a total of six pairs of trains and such a decision can be taken for other trains in future as well.
