However, in a must-win game against New Zealand, openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal slammed centuries before Jemimah Rodrigues provided the finishing touches with an unbeaten half century as India scored 340/3 in 49 overs in a rain-curtailed match. Chasing 325 runs in 44 overs, New Zealand could manage only 271/8 as pacers Renuka Singh Thakur and Kranti Gaud picked up two wickets each, while the four spinners grabbed a wicket apiece.
