Actress Ayesha Raza, who will soon be seen in the film, Aap Jaisa Koi, recalled the time when she lived in Delhi and shared how it was a norm for women to carry safety pins with them to protect themselves around lecherous men in public transport.
"You have to travel in Delhi buses with a safety pin. We always did that. I always took a bus from Mehrauli to Okhla, and it was one of those routes on which the buses would be so crowded that you had to struggle to even get in. I took that route for many years. And it always used to be old uncles who would misbehave," she shared.

She went on to say, "I used to carry a safety pin always and keep it where it was accessible, sometimes hang it around my neck with a chain, and the moment someone would come near or try to misbehave, I would just prick them with it."
