Days after acquiring robotics startup Asimov Robotics, SaaS major Zoho has now rolled out a suite of AI products to facilitate businesses with easy integration, customisable AI agents and automation.
As per a statement by the company, it has rolled out a large language model – Zia LLM, facilitating tasks, including structured data extraction, summarisation, and code generation.
The LLM model, which is built on NVIDIA’s AI accelerated computing platform, also ensures data privacy as it allows users to save their data on Zoho servers.
“Our LLM model is trained specifically for business use cases, keeping privacy and governance at its core, which has resulted in lowering the inference cost, passing on that value to the customers, while also ensuring that they are able to utilise AI productively and efficiently,” said Zoho chief executive officer Mani Vembu.
The company launched its AI product suite at Zoholics India, Zoho’s annual user conference.
Zoho has also rolled out proprietary Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models for speech-to-text conversion for English and Hindi.
Alongside, the company has launched a “no-code agent builder” called Zia agents. With Zia agents businesses can create, deploy, and manage AI-powered agents through a prompt-based approach. The company claims to have launched more than 25 ready-to-deploy Zia agents with focus on Indian customers.
“Our differentiation comes from offering agents over our low code platform so that there is a human in the loop for verification and modification. We call this co-creation with the AI agent,” Vembu added.
Besides, the company has also adopted the model context protocol (MCP), offering its own MCP server with Zoho tools. The AI agents can connect, discover available tools and use them with the customer’s permission structure.
The development comes on the back of Zoho acquiring robotics startup Asimov Robotics in an undisclosed financial deal. With this acquisition, Zoho intends to expand its R&D capabilities in robotics.
Recently, Zoho shelved its semiconductor plans amid continuous expansion of AI capabilities. Last year, the SaaS giant sought Centre’s approval to get incentives under the production linked incentive (PLI) schemefor setting up a $700 Mnchip fabrication plant. However, the company deferred the plans in May this year, citing unclearity in its technology blueprint.
Earlier this year, Sridhar Vembu stepped down from his role as CEO of Zoho Corpafter nearly 30 years to take up a new role as chief scientist at the company.
