There's fears Zack Hudson is leaving and that he could die in a devastating stunt this week.
But one scene and an unfolding mystery on the soap have ruled a death out, with actor possibly staying on the show after all. Nothing has been confirmed, and we don't even know who is caught up in the crash yet.
What we do know is that a number of residents could be in grave danger as one vehicle plunges off a bridge and into a deep lake below. Perhaps one potential victim has been ruled out where a death is concerned.
On Monday night, ahead of the crash this week, Zack was seen confiding in Linda Carter about his fears for his secret son Barney Mitchell. He was advised by Linda to grass up killer Nicola Mitchell, after Zack claimed to her Barney wasn't safe with Nicola.
With Zack intent on fleeing Walford for good with his son, it wasn't long before Barney's brother Harry Mitchell found out the truth about his paternity. Prior to this, Linda offered to guide Zack during his time of woe in the absence of his sister Sharon Watts.
A scene saw Linda offering to be Sharon in the scenario, telling Zack that he could talk to her the way he would his sibling. With Sharon away from Walford, Zack had no one to lean on so Linda agreed to help him.

It's this absence by Sharon though that has left fans convinced Zack might not be killed off. While there's the obvious clues he could meet a sad end, some fans are sure there is no way Sharon or actress Letitia Dean would be away from the show if Zack was about to die.
Fans suggested that the soap would have Sharon in the episodes if her brother was about to be killed off. The fact that Sharon is AWOL once more, a mystery in itself for fans not realising where she'd gone, has left many sure that Zack will survive.
Sharon is currently visiting her pal Michelle Fowler, after the death of her brother Martin Fowler. It's not thought she will be in any episodes this week.

Of course this does not by any means rule out a death for Zack, while again it isn't known if he is at risk. He is kidnapped by Harry and locked in a car boot, with Harry then speeding off.
Fearing his son's actions, it's Teddy Mitchell who then flags down a separate car with Nigel Bates and Honey and Billy Mitchell in. He explains the situation and they set off to find Harry and Zack.
It's not known which car goes into the lake and who is inside it, or if anyone in the vehicle dies. Viewers will have to tune in this week to find out everything, while many fans are convinced if anyone is to be killed off in the plot, it's going to be Zack.
