Former Arsenal star Carl Jenkinson required oxygen and was taken to hospital after suffering a horror injury in a pre-season friendly. The defender was stretchered off the field while playing for Bromley against Millwall after dislocating his hip.
Jenkinson, 33, who has also featured for West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Charlton, was left in agony after trying to prevent a Millwall attack on Saturday. In the 68th minute, the one-cap wonder stuck out his leg in a bid to challenge an opposition winger but came out the worse in the collison.
The ex-Newcastle Jets star remained on the floor, writhing in pain and waving to the bench for assistance. Jenkinson received gas and air before being removed from the field as the game suffered a lengthy stoppage.
Referencing the pause in action, Bromley provided an update during the game. They said: "Carl Jenkinson is stretchered off following a lengthy spell receiving treatment on the pitch. We're all wishing you a speedy recovery, Jenko."
The Ravens followed that up with another social media post following the game, indicating the severity of the injury. "We're all behind you, Jenko," they posted.

Bromley boss Andy Woodman, formerly a goalkeeper coach at Arsenal, offered more detail following the game. "It looks like he's dislocated his hip," he said.
"It's a tragedy. He's beena real bright player for us all pre-season. That's a real blow. He's gone to the hospital try to get it back in. A dislocated hip is not a great thing to have.
"Knowing Jenko, he'll be back sooner rather than later and we wish him all of the best and hopefully he gets himself right and we'll see him back ina Bromley shirt soon."
Jenkinson joined Bromley last September and played 13 games in his first season with the club after a spell playing in Australia. The veteran extended his stay with the London side in April when he signed new deal.
Jenkinson played 70 times for Arsenal after signing for the club in a £1million deal from Charlton. The Bromley ace featured in the famous announcement of Arsenal new contracts alongside Alex Oclade-Chamberlain, Kerian Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey and Jack WIlshere but struggled to secure a place in the side in north London.
