Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks has been forced to postpone a string of tour dates after fracturing her shoulder.

The Edge of Seventeen songstress, 77, announced the news on social media as she shared a statement with fans, revealing some, but not all, of her tour dates had been affected. The statement from the star read: "Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks' scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled." The statement continued: "More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets and consult the list of rescheduled dates. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured on the new date.

"The concert schedule will resume on Wednesday October 1st in Portland, Oregon. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes [sic] to the fans for this inconvenience."

Stevie's Instagram page then shared an image listing the unaffected tour dates, which begin from October 1. Another image showed the list of rescheduled tour dates.

The singer is now scheduled to perform in Detroit on October 28 instead of September 7, and Paint Paul on November 12 instead of August 19, while she'll perform in Toronto on November 15 instead of August 15.

More rescheduled tour dates are; Brooklyn on November 19, November 24 in Boston, Cincinnati on November 30, Columbia on December 3, Tampa on December 7 and Hollywood on December 10.

The singer's tour was initially scheduled to start in August. Fans of the star rushed to the comment section to send their well wishes. One wrote: "Heal quickly and safely goddess".

Another added: "Stevie! Please rest up. Ive been trying to see you for 10 years". And a third penned: "Hope you’re feeling better soon here’s to a speedy healing". Meanwhile, other fans admitted their "heart skipped a beat" before reading the statement.

"Jesus christ my heart skipped," one confessed. "Damn near had a heart attack. Someone wrap her in bubble wrap and put her in a salt circle!"

The announcement comes after it was revealed that Buckingham Nicks, the sole studio record by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie as a pair, is getting its first-ever reissue. Despite failing to make waves commercially, it prompted drummer Mick Fleetwood to ask Stevie and Lindsey to become members of the iconic rock outfit.

The former pair haven't seen eye to eye since guitarist Lindsey was booted from the band again in 2018 amid bitter circumstances, though Mick has previously confessed he's eager for Stevie and Lindsey to bury the hatchet.

The drummer - who helped establish the legendary rock group in the 1960s - revealed to Us Weekly: "I always have a fantasy that [Stevie] and Lindsey would pal up a bit more and just say everything's OK for them both. But we've had such an incredible career."

Mick had planned to bring the band back together before Christine McVie died in November 2022, aged 79.

The seasoned musician has "struggled" to find direction following Christine's death - though he stays optimistic about collaborating with another group in 2026.

Mick shared: "I miss playing as much as we used to. I'm hoping next year, one way or another, some band somewhere will say, come and play with drums or something. "So, I always love to do whatever I can do working on an album that next year we may tour with it. I don't know, [but] not Fleetwood Mac."
