Sharing a living space can come with perks as well as problems, most people tend to be respectful of their neighbours and think about their actions. However, the occasional neighbour from hell turns up and causes their fair share of chaos.
A Reddit user has shared their own experience of residing in a shared dorm and having to deal with someone living next door who just didn't seem to care how her late-night choices were having an impact on the entire block. Eventually, she irritated the wrong person, who delivered a swift taste of her own medicine.
In the post online, they said that the problem came from a neighbour named 'Sarah'. The person who wrote the post admitted that "Sarah wasn’t evil, just loud".

The problem would normally happen in the middle of the night, when most people would be trying to sleep. The Reddit user claimed: "Every night she’d blast music at 1am or 2am, usually when I had an early class.
"Some did complain directly to Sarah, but they were apparently told to 'relax'". The Reddit user said that she’d "laugh it off" no matter how many times people came to her door with the same issue.

The Reddit user continued: "One night before a big exam I was desperate for sleep [so] I knocked on her door around midnight and asked politely if she could lower the volume just a little. She smirked, said 'sure' and then cranked it even louder.
They were "absolutely fuming" and couldn't do anything but stare at the ceiling and try their hardest to sleep through the deliberate chaos caused by 'Sarah'. But, this was the final straw, and the student came up with a delightful way to give 'Sarah' a taste of her own medicine.
The user explained: "The next morning, after my exam, I decided I wasn’t going to let it slide. 'Sarah', according to the Reddit user, was notorious for sleeping in late, usually till noon, and she hated mornings more than anything.
"So, for the next week, I set my alarm for 6.30am, right when the hall was dead quiet, and placed my Bluetooth speaker against the thin wall we shared. I blasted the cheesiest pop songs I could find - think bubblegum boy bands from the early 2000s."
The post claimed that, on the first day that revenge was served, 'Sarah' stumbled out of her room and was both "groggy and furious". They added: "By day three, she started begging me to stop. I just smiled and said 'relax'.
"Funny enough, after that week, her late-night concerts mysteriously stopped. She never admitted defeat, but the silence was golden."
