Meghan said that she got into the calming hobby when her friends featured flower arranging as an activity at her 2019 baby shower when she was expecting Prince Archie, now 6. In the show Meghan explained: "I learned a lot of this when I was pregnant with my son, Archie. My girlfriends threw a baby shower for me, and one of the things we did was learn flower arranging. I started to find this really calming and meditative, so when I have a little bit of time at the end of the day, I do this. I have a glass of wine and just enjoy it."
Meghan captiond the Instagram post: "Flower arranging with Guy last spring. Just wait til you see what I've been cooking up this year! More soon." Her 2.8million followers were unable to comment on the post as commenting has been disabled.
The intention behind the post appears to be a subtle nod towards the soon-to-come second season of her program "With Love, Meghan", which presents the duchess whipping up dishes and entertaining a host of famous guests. The green light for another season of her series was given by Netflix in March, promptly following the conclusion of its inaugural run.
Opinions were divided over the duchess' show when it first aired, reflecting the reception of her brand As Ever, which debuted its initial offerings last month.
The Instagram update closely follows Prince Archie's sixth birthday celebration, which took place on Tuesday. On May 6, the duchess used Instagram to commemorate her son's birthday, penning: " Our son. Our sun."
She continued with a heartfelt message: "Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He's six! Where did the time go? (And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special).
