Peter Andre's wife Emily MacDonaghhas explained how she was banned from his bedroom for a year. Peter was married to Katie Price before they split and later, the Mysterious Girl singer found love with Emily.
As a result of their new romance, Emily quickly became a stepmother to his children - Princess and Junior. Asked if she slipped straight into that stepmother role, she said: "Not straightaway as a stepmom, but that is a role you are instantly kind of… you're in. You've got two children in your lives straight away.
"It sort of built slowly, because I think I wouldn’t expect to step into that role immediately. And I was young as well, you know, so I think we were always really cautious in the beginning about, you know, how much I was around. And we joke about this now with the kids, it’s so funny, but we didn’t share a bedroom for the first year that we were together."

She added: "Because, when the kids were there… you know, because he wanted to be respectful. And I really - I actually really admired that at the time, that he always would put them first in everything. I thought that was really lovely."
Emily says she feels lucky to be "accepted" by her stepchildren - Junior and Princess, whose mum is Peter's ex Katie Price.
"I always feel lucky that they've kind of accepted me into their family. And I think then, when we had Millie and Theo - and Belle as well - it kind of cements you even more as a family. But I always feel like, you know, I'm not their mum, and that's something I always have to make sure I tread carefully with. I always see it, I think I would see it a bit more like being a big sister," she said.
"Which, I don't know if that's the right way to look at it, but I think, you know, I always try and give them guidance, but I wouldn’t overstep that. Like, I obviously try and support them like I would do with my own kids."
Emily and Peter now have their own children - Amelia, 11, and eight-year-old Theo - and her "strict" nature shines through.
Speaking about her parenting, she explained on Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast, Happy Mum Happy Baby: "I always try and be the same. I’m quite strict though, on my kids. That's what I would say to the older kids -it's lucky there's an age gap, you know? Because then you guys don’t need to worry about, like, silly rules I have - screen time and stuff like that. I’m like, you guys can be exempt because you're older. The age gap is enough that my kids don’t ask the question, 'Well, why are they allowed to have the screens?'"
