Ajay Devgn is making waves once again, this time with his latest song Jhoom Sharabi from the upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2. After a mixed year at the box office—with Azad flopping, Raid 2 becoming a surprise hit, and Son of Sardaar 2 failing to impress—the actor seems ready to turn things around with this new release, which hits theatres on November 14.
The recently released track Jhoom Sharabi, sung by Honey Singh, has taken social media by storm. Within just 18 hours of its release, the song climbed to the 10th spot on the music trending charts and racked up over 7.1 million views. The video features Ajay Devgn grooving stylishly with a glass on his shoulder, joined by Honey Singh. Fans are loving his energy and chemistry with co-star Rakul Preet Singh, calling this one of his most refreshing avatars yet.
What’s interesting is that the song has sparked comparisons with Bobby Deol’s viral hit Jamal Kudu from Animal. In Jamal Kudu, Bobby famously balanced a glass on his head, while Ajay, in a playful twist, balances it on his shoulder. Fans have flooded the comment section, saying, “Ajay Devgn is giving Lord Bobby a run for his money,” while others praised Honey Singh for his catchy beats.
To surpass Jamal Kudu’s popularity, however, Jhoom Sharabi will have to cross the staggering 169 million views mark that Bobby Deol’s track achieved. Whether Ajay’s new party anthem manages to set a new record remains to be seen, but for now, it’s safe to say that Jhoom Sharabi has already got audiences dancing.
