The excitement around Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited film King is soaring even before the cameras start rolling. Following the massive success of his last three blockbusters, SRK is gearing up for another grand project — one that also marks his daughter Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut. While the film’s production is still underway, a new development has sent fans into a frenzy: a possible collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Spanish pop superstar Enrique Iglesias.
Enrique Iglesias, known globally for hits like Hero and Bailamos, has returned to India after 21 years. He is set to perform live at Mumbai’s MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex on October 29 and 30 — the same venue where he performed during his last visit in 2004. Reports suggest that during his stay in Mumbai, Enrique may meet Shah Rukh Khan and his family — Gauri, Suhana, and AbRam — to discuss an exciting musical partnership for King.
The buzz started after a viral tweet claimed, “Something exciting is happening. Enrique will soon be making waves in Shah Rukh Khan’s King with a high-energy track.” Although neither Khan’s team nor Iglesias has confirmed this collaboration, the news has already sparked huge anticipation. If true, it would mark one of Bollywood’s biggest cross-cultural collaborations, blending the charm of SRK with Enrique’s signature Latin pop energy.
As for King, the film’s pre-production is in full swing. Deepika Padukone has already wrapped up her portion of the shoot, and the team has now regrouped in Mumbai to continue preparations. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand, the movie promises an intense action-drama with Shah Rukh Khan playing a dark and powerful character.
Originally scheduled for a 2027 release, King might arrive earlier — possibly by Christmas 2026 — if production progresses as planned. With Enrique Iglesias’s name now linked to the project, expectations have skyrocketed. Fans are eagerly waiting to see whether this global musical collaboration becomes a reality, making King one of the most talked-about films of the decade.
