
If you love the Christmas spirit but you're not such a big fan of crowds then Christmas markets might be a struggle. However, there are some markets right here in the UK that are far enough off-the-beaten-track to have all the Christmas joy - without the thousands of people in your way.
Turo, a car sharing marketplace, has compiled some of the best Christmas markets across the UK that are far enough off the beaten track that they don't draw massive crowds. These charming markets are the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities, without compromising on the Christmas spirit.

First up on the list is Fowey in Cornwall. The annual Christmas market in this cute seaside town has Santa's elves, the big man himself and plenty of other activities and festivities to suit everyone. There's also the quaint town of Polruan across the estuary so you can go on a road trip and explore for a perfect calm weekend trip.
Also in Cornwall is another stunning Christmas market inside the Eden Project. In the summer months, these domes usually house tropical plants but over Christmas they turn into a stunning market. From November 19-20, the domes house an amazing range of festive stalls and even iceskating, Even better, the price of your ticket all goes to charity.

Up north in Yorkshire are some amazing markets to check out that aren't swamped by crowds. Also, further north there's an increased chance of snow for that extra Christmas spirit.
One of these markets is the Yorkshire Christmas Adventure at Stockeld Park. Easily accessible by car, this woodland illuminated light show is perfect for families. There's also an ice rink and cosy markets to explore with your loved ones.
The CotswoldsIf you want a post-card perfect market, then you can't beat the Cotswolds. This incredibly picturesque location is a Christmas wonderland, and of course there's a market too.
Blenheim Palace is completely transformed in December to a Christmas wonderland. With ice-skating, a Christmas market in The Great Court, and a Neverland light show inside, it's a perfect one-stop Christmas destination.
