viewers were forced to cover their eyes after one shocking act took to the stage with a new daring performance which left many screaming in disgust. On Saturday (May 10), the talent show returned with a bang for the semi-finals as each act gave it their all to land themselves a place in the live final.
This week, drag queen Jasmine Rice secured a place in the final after Bruno Tonioli awarded her the coveted golden buzzer - a new addition to the semi-finals. But it's fair to say the act that had everyone talking this week was extreme contortionist Bao Cuong who stunned show judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon with his sword-swallowing routine. This week, the artist took things up a notch by inserting a device into his eye which allowed him to lift things up using nothing but his eyelids.
Meanwhile, Ant and Dec tok a seat on a motorcycle as danger act Bao pulled them towards him using his eyeballs. It didn't take long before viewers flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their disgust online as the gruelling scenes played out on screen.
One user penned: "I find this act impossible to watch. How can this be classed as family entertainment... it's horrific #BGT." Another agreed: "I think I've got PTSD from watching that [two cry-laughing emojis] #BaoCuong #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."
Meanwhile, a third warned: "All the parents gettign ready to fire off a cpmplaint to Ofcom #bgt #britainsgottalent." Last week, the artist pushed his body to the limit by pushing a pair of large scissors down his throat with the item attached to a microwave hanging around his neck.
Despite receiving a standing ovation, social media was alight with concerns as many urged the backstagr crew to call a medic. Although the performer hasn't suffered from any injuries on the talent show, things don't always go to plan.

The Vietnamese artist revealed via an interpreter that he had once suffered a severe injury while performing on stage. Amanda cheekily asked: "Have you ever accidentally nipped your liver?" to which he replied: "On one occasion I created a hole in my oesophagus I had to have 23 stitches."
Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the contortionist will land a spot in the grand final later this month.
Britain's Got Talent airs on Saturdays from 7pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
