There were a pair of beloved white jeans that somehow got two minuscule stains embedded in its fibres. The most unfortunate part, however, is that they were positioned in the derrière area (I must have sat on something).
As such, my once fashionable, slimming and flattering jeans became unwearable until the stains were removed. Not thinking the stains would be hard to remove (I was wrong), I first put the jeans in a normal wash; the stains remained. Next came out the white vinegar; the stains stayed. Then I tried baking soda with no luck either.
Disheartened, they laid dormant in my wardrobe - too precious to throw away, but not ones to be worn again. I had resigned to the fact that the stains were truly set.
Then a white top, months later, became stained; I made the same mistake - washing them in a normal wash cycle.
When the top came out with the stain I thought it was about time I got a commercial product.
In fact, I decided on two - Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White Stain Remover and Vanish Oxide Action spray.
This was the perfect chance to remove the stain from the white top and to also take out those pair of jeans from the wardrobe.
Spraying both garments with the Vanish Oxide Action spray (on the stained areas only), I followed the instructions and left it on for five minutes.
Then as they went into the wash, I added a scoopful of Vanish Oxi Action powder in the detergent drawer.
Once the wash cycle had run its course, the top came out completely stain-free.

Delighted, I then pulled out my jeans... and while the stains are still there, some of it has been removed.
And the Vanish Oxi Action Stain Remover does say: "For tough stains follow pre-treat or soaking instructions."
Considering this combination has been the most successful (so far) at dislodging the stains, I think I'm going to give it another try.
My next trial will be to soak the white jeans, for up to six hours, using the product and hopefully then I can wear my beloved trousers again.
