A certain celebrity guest who has featured in the trailer for season two of Meghan Markle's Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' has caused quite the stir. After model Chrissy Teigen appeared in a scene to make crafts with Meghan, several users took to social media to share their disdain at Chrissy being in the clip.
In 2011, Ms Teigen allegedly sent TV personality Courtney Stodden messages on X urging them to take their own life. Ms Teigen, who is married to singer John Legend, said she was "ashamed and completely embarrassed" of her actions. According to the BBC, at the time, she said: "Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past... [comments] in front of the entire world. I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behaviour but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel." One user on X savagedly wrote: "Oh YUCK!! Meghan Markle managed to find another celebrity disliked almost as much as she is! Chrissy Teigen set to be a guest on Meghan Markle's upcoming With Love season 2!"
Another posted: "Meghan Markle hanging out with Chrissy Teigen makes absolute sense to me."
A third questioned, as reported in Page Six: "How can Meghan Markle associate with Chrissy Teigan..., a self confessed online bully and troll when she purports to support the Parents Network who are campaigning against this very thing?"
In the 'With Love, Meghan' Season 2 trailer, Teigen, 39, and Markle, 44, appeared to be making a craft together, and the segment is set to feature in the second series on August 26.
As well as Ms Teigan, guests on the new show include podcast host Jamie Kern Lima, and social media influencer, Jay Shetty.
One social media user claims they will be watching the show, but not for the Duchess of Sussex: "I am watching it just to see which celebrities showed up this time." Another joked: "Was hoping to see some family and friends...... oh wait she's [Meghan's] a bit light on those!"
Others, however, praised the return of the show. One wrote: "This looks cute. I am excited about this despite what haters say. The first season was good."
Another commented under the Netflix trailer on YouTube: "I can't wait for the second season!"
Meanwhile, Meghan, 44, also uploaded the trailer to her Instagram. She wrote: "The best moments are made to be shared. With Love, Meghan returns August 26th on @netflix."
The trailer, released on Tuesday, shows the Duchess of Sussex cooking and baking with celebrity friends. She can be heard saying: "I love the idea of just spending time together... and finding new ways to show people you care."
Netflix's description of the new season read: "From the kitchen to the garden, discover new cooking, hosting and DIY craft ideas as Meghan welcomes friends and famous guests in stunning California."
While Harry did not feature in the trailer for the upcoming season, it is unknown if he or his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will appear in the new series.
