Mobland has now concluded on Paramount Plus and fans of the gang drama are keen to find the next bingeworthy series. Following an Irish gang, the series Kin has plenty of similarities.

Available to watch on BBC iPlayer, Kin is an Irish crime drama that originally aired in Ireland in 2021. The show follows a family from Dublin caught up in a gangland war, starring Aidan Gillen and Ciarán Hinds as rival leaders Frank Kinsella and Eamon Cunningham.

Following its initial release, it became one of the most-watched series in Ireland, with a second season airing in 2023. That year, it was acquired by the BBC and by Netflix the following year.

Its ratings broke records on both linear and streaming platforms in Ireland, attracting more than four million lifetime streams by October 2023.

The review website Rotten Tomatoes reported a 100% approval rating for the first season, with The Irish Times calling the show "RTÉ's best drama in years".

Fans have taken to various platforms to share their thoughts, with Thomas Patton leaving a Google review: "This series I discovered while on a long holiday in my birth county, Ireland, and also visiting France last summer.

"After the first episode I was like a nervous frat boy who wanted his second beer very quickly and after the second episode I was full blown addict.

"This is best crime family series set in the world of today I have ever seen and I have watched them all on six continents.

"It is b***** brilliant! Charlie Cox's role is particularly interesting and compelling but you can't go wrong picking any of them and giving them top marks."

Brian Tallerico of The Playlist shared: "Whether this is the show to really push that reputation now or something that people catch up with long down the road, viewers are likely to be satisfied when they do."

Alex McLevy of AV Club added: "It's simply an opportunity to watch some gifted actors do what they do, very well, with a story that glides along in entertaining but unoriginal manner."

As for a third season, Jimmy Kinsella actor Emmett Scanlan said during an appearance on This Morning: "There is a lot of interest in it. I hope it comes back again.

"I would love to take on the role of Jimmy again. I'd love to."

Scanlan previously told RadioTimes he was "remaining as positive as possible" that new episodes could be made.
