Singer Rod Stewart has admitted that he "can't count" President Donald Trump as a friend anymore, despite them previously being neighbours and knowing each other "very, very well". The 80-year-old superstar claims that Trump has "changed" since moving into the White House and Rod is no longer a "great fan" of him.

Speaking to Radio Times about his past friendship with Trump, the hit maker confessed his true feelings on the current leader of the United States. Sir Rod shared: "I'm not a great fan of Trump. I knew him very, very well. I used to go to his house," he said, pointing out that they're neighbours in . "I live literally half a mile away... We're both on the beach. I used to go to his . He's always been a bit of a man's man. I liked him for that. But he didn't, as far as I'm concerned, treat women very well. But since he became President, he became another guy. Somebody I didn't know."

He then expressed that there is one deal breaker, meaning that the singer no longer wants to befriend the American politician, as he said that he "can't count him as a friend anymore". He explained: "As long as he's selling arms to the Israelis - and he still is. How's that war ever gonna stop?"

Last year Rod publicly roasted the President over his "orange" skin tone. At a recent Las Vegas show, taking a jab at Trump's comments where he targeted Kamala Harris saying she "all of a sudden" turned "black".

On a huge projection behind him, while on stage, Sir Rod showed images of Trump's evolution from pale to a deep hue of orange.

He took a direct swipe at Trump with an enormous caption over the image, quoting Trump's digs at Kamala and making a witty retort about his sudden change to an "Orange person".

Rod questioned the abrupt transition of colour, teasing: "I didn't know he was orange until a number of years ago, when he happened to turn orange."

Continuing to mock Trump's disregard for identity respect and his newfound preference for orange, Rod added: "I respect either one, but he obviously doesn't and now he wants to be known as Orange. All of a sudden he made a turn and became an Orange person," adding: "I think someone should look into that."
