Strictly Come Dancing favourite Aston Merrygold has been rushed to hospital, with the singer sharing a picture from the back of an ambulance during a 13-hour ordeal. The 37-year-old singer and dad-of-two was seen lying on a stretcher but still managed a thumbs-up and a smile for fans in the snap posted to his Instagram story. He captioned the image: "It's been an interesting 13hrs" - but stopped short of revealing what caused the A&E dash.

Just days earlier, Aston had been performing to a crowd of 80,000 at Wembley Stadium alongside his JLS bandmates Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Oritsé Williams. The boyband were revealed as the surprise Barclaycard Out Of The Blue act at Capital's Summertime Ball, where they tore up the stage with a throwback performance. Aston's hospital dash comes hot on the heels of JLS' surprise performance and the release of Disney Pixar's new movie Elio, where he makes his voice-acting debut.

Aptly playing a character called Aston, the I'm a Celebrity star appears alongside Hollywood A-lister Zoe Saldaña, 46.

Speaking about his role, he said: "I'm so excited and beyond honoured to join the voice cast for the all-new original film from the iconic Animation Studio."

"I mean who isn't a Pixar fan? It means everything to me that my kids will be able to hear their Dad's voice on the big screen!"

Aston shares three children - Grayson, seven, Macaulay, four, and Riley, one - with his wife Sarah.

At Wembley, JLS stunned fans with a medley of throwback hits including The Club Is Alive, She Makes Me Wanna, Beat Again and Everybody in Love - all while rocking coordinated denim outfits.

"It's been 16 years since our first Capital's Summertime Ball and there was no better way to return than surprising fans with our Barclaycard Out of the Blue performance!" the group said after their set.

"We love sharing the stage together and to be at such an iconic venue once again was just incredible! Hearing 80,000 people singing back every word to us was a moment we'll never forget."

They joined a star-studded Wembley line-up that also included Rita Ora, Jade Thirlwall, Will Smith and Jessie J.

During the show Fresh Prince of Bel Air star Will, 56, brought his son Jaden, 26, on stage during his high-energy set to mark Father's Day.

The rapper sent the crowd into a frenzy when he welcomed Jaden, who is also an established artist, could be heard joking: 'I'm only joining cause it's Father's Day.'

Will then told the audience: 'Ladies and gentleman, can you get yourselves up for a second and say hi'.

'Ladies and gentleman, this is my son Jaden. It's a very good time to say I love you.'
