Grigor Dimitrov is being hailed as Wimbledon's fallen hero this year after injury cruelly ended his campaign. The Bulgarian was on track for a sensational upset on Centre Court on Monday night, leading Jannik Sinner by two sets when he appeared to suffer a serious pectoral injury.
The star's tears as he trudged off court, assisted by Sinner, spoke volumes. However, he at least had the consolation of being supported in the stands by his celebrity girlfriend, Eiza Gonzalez. The Mexican actress is the latest love interest of the 34-year-old, whose private life has regularly been in the spotlight during his career.

Love Island meetingsLast year, Dimitrov was rumoured to be in a relationship with Ekin-Su Culculoglu. The British-Turkish TV personality rose to fame on the 2022 series of Love Island, and reportedly spent time with Dimitrov in London, Paris, and his home in Monte Carlo.
Supermodel supportThe year before his dalliance with Ekin-Su, Dimitrov dated glamorous Romanian model Madalina Ghenea. Also famed for her role in the House of Gucci TV series, the 37-year-old was regularly seen supporting her man at tennis events.
She watched him play at Wimbledon that year, although her stay in England was short-lived, as Dimitrov went out in the first round. Months later, the pair ended their relationship.

Dimitrov's love life was every bit as interesting earlier on in his career. He's also dated fellow tennis star Maria Sharapova and, in 2015, began a relationship with American singer Nicole Scherzinger after her split from Lewis Hamilton.
In 2020, he was watched at the Vienna Open by Lolita Osmanova, daughter of Russian billionaire and oligarch Eldar Osmanova. That sparked reports of a romance between the pair.
Heartwarming message from new girlfriendGonzalez, 35, certainly seems smitten with the former Grand Slam finalist, having met him in April. She watched him against Sinner on Centre Court, and after his injury blow, wrote on Instagram: "Love of my life, I couldn't be more proud of you. You are BEYOND outstanding.
"This is just a moment that will pass and will make you even stronger. But watching you today, alongside the world, was a reminder of who YOU are. You're a winner. We all saw it. And you'll do it again (heart emoji). I love you @grigordimitrov."
