Naomi Osaka has used her impressive career earnings to purchase extravagant homes previously owned by famous celebrities. Currently ranked No. 53 in the WTA, Osaka has accumulated over £16million in career earnings on top of Grand Slam wins at the Australian Open in 2019 and 2021, and the US Open in 2018 and 2020.
Her wealth has been further bolstered by lucrative brand partnerships with TAG Heuer, Nike, and Louis Vuitton. And the 27-year-old appears to have invested her earnings wisely, owning two luxurious properties previously owned by Nick Jonas and Nick Lachey. In August 2019, the Osaka-born star, now residing in the United States, purchased a minimalist home from popstar and actor Jonas for £5m.
Originally constructed in 1965 and renovated in 2015, the 4,129 square-foot property located in Los Angeles features five bedrooms and four bathrooms, along with a separate two-storey guesthouse equipped with a bedroom suite, office, and private gym. The main house boasts floor-to-ceiling glass doors, a spacious living room, and a state-of-the-art kitchen, while the garden houses an infinity pool and spa.
Jonas, who reportedly purchased the property for just under £5m a year prior, is believed to have decided to sell after tying the knot with Priyanka Chopra in December, as he was keen to find a permanent home with his wife. Jonas' former residence isn't the only Californian property owned by Osaka.
In 2022, she acquired a £6.2m property nestled in the heart of Tarzana, a mere stone's throw from the esteemed Calabasas area. The 6,855 square-foot property boasts five bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and is enveloped by lush greenery, equipped with all the latest technology.

One of the most breathtaking features is the picturesque back garden which provides stunning views of the sky at sunset. A pool deck is ideal for creating summer memories, while an outdoor fire pit surrounded by cosy seating offers tranquil late-night relaxation.

At the time of purchase, the property also boasted an impressive basketball court, accessible via a hidden stairway from the garden. The magnificent mansion was previously occupied by renowned singer-songwriter Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa, who raised their three children there before selling it to Osaka three years ago.
As of 2025, it remains uncertain whether Osaka resides in both properties currently, or if she has chosen to live in one and use the other as an investment opportunity. Osaka returned to Wimbledon this summer with her sights set on a fifth Grand Slam title.
The tennis star began her campaign in fine form at SW19, defeating Talia Gibson in the opening round and then overcoming Katerina Siniakova on Wednesday. However, her journey came to an abrupt end during Friday's third round, when she faced Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on court two.
Osaka started strong against the WTA No. 50, taking the first set 6-2. But the Russian fought back in the second and third sets, winning 6-4 each time to secure her place in the last 16.
It marks the third time that Osaka has been knocked out of a Grand Slam in the third round, having previously lost to Venus Williams and Angelique Kerber in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
