NEW DELHI: There are more than 1,000 active Covid-19 cases in the country, with Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi being the three highest contributors, the government said on Monday.
According to the Union health ministry's Covid-19 portal, updated at 8 am, India has 1,009 active cases; of these, as many as 752 are recent ones.
"Kerala has the highest number of active cases at 430, followed by Maharashtra with 209, Delhi with 104, and Karnataka with 47. Some states like Andaman and Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir currently have no active cases reported," it said in a statement.
On the other hand, the nationwide discharge tally stands at 4,45,11,545, while there have been 5,33,673 fatalities as well.
