Earlier, Australia had posted a daunting 338 all out after electing to bat. Young opener Phoebe Litchfield struck a fluent 119 off 93 balls, while Ellyse Perry (77) and Ashleigh Gardner (65 off 45) powered the total.

But it was India's night — a night of nerves, redemption, and history. As Rodrigues raised her bat amid a roaring crowd, it wasn't just a win; it was a statement of resilience, belief, and passion — just as Kohli described.

India will now face South Africa in Sunday's final, ensuring the 2025 Women's World Cup crowns a new champion.
